PMCST Policies:

Payment Policy:

1. Students will not receive their eCard via email until Precious Minutes CPR and Safety Training, LLC (PMCST) has been paid in full.

2. All returned checks are subject to a $35 fee.

3. Public Class Payment: Full or partial payment must be submitted to complete registration for your seat. If you have not been in contact with PMCST and have not submitted full or partial payment your seat is not saved. There are two options to submit payment for your training:

Option 1: Full Payment via Venmo or PayPal
Option 2: Non-Refundable $15 Seat Deposit via Venmo or PayPal, then remaining balance for your training is completed in-person at the course, via cash or check (i.e. for a $75 course, $15 is due upfront to commit, then the remaining $60 is due in-person)

Non-Refundable Seat Deposit: Effective 9/1/2022 after 7.5 years in business we’ve had to enact this policy to hopefully eliminate the “Ghost Sign Ups” and “No Call/No Show” students we run into. These students will register for the course, may even communicate with us and confirm registration, but never show up to class with no attempt to notify us, cancel, or reschedule. This wastes our time, gas, and energy, but more importantly it often takes a seat away from someone who would’ve been there to complete their training.

Public Class Cancellation, Refund and Reschedule Policies:

We understand that “life happens” but please notify us ASAP with any cancellation or rescheduling needed. We are happy to work with you!

If a course is cancelled/postponed by us or or by a location we are instructing at, you will be notified ASAP via telephone and/or email. At that point you may choose a class or receive a full refund within 2-4 business days for full or partial advanced payment.

5. If a student is ten (10) minutes late to a skills session or fifteen (15) minutes late to a full course the student must re-schedule their course. No refunds will be given. Frequently asked questions – directly FROM THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION:

What is CPR?
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.

What is an AED? An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses the life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias in a patient, and is able to treat them through defibrillation, the application of electrical therapy which stops the arrhythmia, allowing the heart to reestablish an effective rhythm.

What is the minimum age to learn CPR?
The AHA does not mandate a minimum age requirement for learning CPR. The ability to perform CPR is based more on body strength than age. Studies have shown that children as young as nine years old can learn and retain CPR skills.

Are American Heart Association courses OSHA compliant?
Our AHA Heartsaver Courses are for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory or other requirements. While these courses are designed to meet OSHA requirements, OSHA does not review or approve any courses for compliance. Through the AHA/OSHA Alliance, we work with OSHA to raise awareness about workplace safety and health to prevent injuries, illnesses, and fatalities in the workplace.

Which CPR course should a “first responder” or “professional rescuer” take?
First responders or professional rescuers generally include fire, police and emergency medical personnel. These types of prehospital professionals usually need to complete a Basic Life Support (BLS) course.

The AHA’s Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course is designed to meet regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 United States. The AHA offers this course in both classroom-based and eLearning formats.

Can I take an AHA CPR course online?
The AHA offers a variety of eLearning courses through OnlineAHA.org and our Distributors. For CPR and first aid courses, an eLearning course must be followed by a skills practice and testing session with an AHA Instructor within 60 days of completion and has an additional cost.
